List of cellar lanes in Burgenland
The list of cellar lanes in Burgenland is topped by the cellar lanes in the Austrian state of Burgenland .
Typical for Burgenland are cellar districts rather than cellar lanes, the cellars are not arranged along a street, but in piles outside the localities. In general, cellar lanes that resemble the Lower Austrian cellar lanes are more likely to be found in the area around Lake Neusiedl and the cellar district in southern Burgenland, but there are some exceptions in both cases.
The cellar lanes on the north bank of the Neusiedlersee consist largely of earth cellars with facades in the form of a shield wall or with small press houses. In southern Burgenland, on the other hand, the cellar districts have a different character: there are around 1000 Kellerstöckl .
