List of cellar lanes in Styria
The list of cellar lanes in Styria is topped by the cellar lanes in the Austrian state of Styria .
In tourism advertising, the term “Kellergasse” is often used in connection with some Styrian municipalities. But the wine cellars in Styria are not press houses built closely together as in Lower Austria and Northern Burgenland, but loosely scattered cellar stacks that have often been heavily rebuilt or overbuilt.
In Styria there are a little over 3800 wine growers in the cultivation areas Vulkanland Steiermark (formerly Southeast Styria), South Styria and West Styria, who cultivate around 3,300 hectares of vineyards. There are viticulture museums in Klöch, Schloss Gamlitz, Kitzeck im Sausal and Kornriegel.
There is a listed ice cellar in Bad Gleichenberg .
