List of cultural assets in Schangnau

The list of cultural assets in Schangnau contains all objects in the municipality of Schangnau in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in category A and B are fully included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

The well-proportioned post structure under a quarter hipped roof , built in 1775, occupies a prominent position in the village center. It has an asymmetrically instrumented front with row windows, which is elevated by a round . Are at the eaves sides arbors attached. The most important feature are the folding shutters on the north side of the former shop window.

The former schoolhouse, built around 1810 and now used as a residential building, is a high-quality post construction with clapboard edging and bordered with plank strips . The axially symmetrical round front is oriented towards the church to the south; access is via a prominent, wooden flight of stairs .

The inn , built around 1820 with an annexed hall and economic wing, is a very stately, well-structured and center-emphasized frame structure . The two-storey, representative front with seven axes rises above a massive cellar base and is supported by an elegant and typical of the time fassonierten EASONS excessive and eaves of Gaden arcades flanked. In front of the main entrance there is an elaborately designed outside staircase .

The grouped around a central courtyard building complex in post and beam construction is an important for the history of spa tourism facility. These include the bath house with the Bären inn (1835), a farmhouse (1875), a guest house wing (1925), a Stöckli (1st quarter of the 19th century) and a pump house (1916).

The church building, built in 1618 and renewed in 1657, is a compact and attractive plastered building with a trapezoidal choir in a late Gothic style . A kinked gable roof, hipped to the east, with an elegant roof turret and shingle covering stretches over it . Together with the old school building to the north of it, forms an impressive building ensemble .
