List of cultural assets in Burgdorf
The list of cultural assets in Burgdorf contains all objects in the municipality of Burgdorf in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .
Objects in categories A and B are completely included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Late Gothic basilica under a gable roof , in the tradition of the Upper Rhine mendicant order churches of the 14th century. 72 m high front tower with pyramid roof , two side chapels and the sacristy are attached to the south .

The hilltop castle built by the Zähringers in the 11th century , significantly expanded around 1200. From this period comes the keep and the palace , in the second half of the 13th century there was a east-side expansion by the Kyburgs . Various new buildings by the Bernese in the 16th and 18th centuries, today used as a governor's office, district court and museum. The imposing, cityscape-defining complex is one of the few large high aristocratic castles in Switzerland that has remained largely unchanged in its external form.

The Diesbacherhaus is a town house built between 1743 and 1745 and inspired by the buildings of Albrecht Stürler . Alley front with pilaster strips and profiled cornices . The indicated central risalit is emphasized by a very lively sculptural work with delicate rocailles and shell and acanthus pendants. The adjacent large pharmacy, which was built in the same period, but has a somewhat less sophisticated design, probably comes from the same builder.

In 1500 built and 1798 reversed the leprosarium . Mighty late-Gothic rectangular building with wide-jointed sandstone ashlar masonry under a cantilevered hipped roof . Next to it is the Infirmary Chapel (or Bartholomew's Chapel), consecrated in 1446, a simple late Gothic rectangular building under a steep pitched roof with an open turret . It is one of the few remaining field chapels in the canton of Bern.

Between 1629 and 1636 J. Fankhauser built a town house in the Renaissance - Gothic style and one of the largest preserved merchant houses of the 17th century in the canton of Bern. Imposing solid construction under a mighty, bent gable roof with an intact, representative square facade in sandstone. The facade was redesigned in 1927/28 by Ernst Linck .

Facing Rütschelengasse, the house has one of the most monumental gable facades of the Renaissance - Gothic in the canton of Bern.

The high-quality industrial building made of exposed brick consists of an east- facing longitudinal tract under a gable roof with a risalit-like central field and a weaving hall under shed roofs attached to the west . Opposite the industrial building from 1868 is the smaller factory built first (1861) with a remarkable drying tower for dyed fabric panels. The villa is a symmetrical built-in house under a low hipped roof in the transition between late classicism and early historicism.

A special feature are the late Biedermeier terracotta decorations with animals, foliage and figural scenes from the butcher's trade.
