List of cultural assets in Utzenstorf

The list of cultural assets in Utzenstorf contains all objects in the municipality of Utzenstorf in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflicts and the Ordinance of 29 June 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in category A and B are fully included in the list, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

The castle , built between 1624 and 1630, was built in place of a castle from the 13th century and is a massive Renaissance-Gothic building under a quarter-hipped roof . The east-side front, which is framed with pilaster strips, is covered with a curved round , the south side was redesigned into a garden facade in 1812–15. A hexagonal stair tower under a pointed helmet stands on the north facade .

The inn , built in 1816, is an excellent baroque plastered building under a bent hipped roof with rich sandstone structure. The basement is subdivided with striking buttresses and arched entrances, while jointed corner pilasters and cranked cornices and eaves structure the upper floors. There is a two-armed limestone staircase on the north facade .

The ossuary , built around 1500, is an unusual small plastered building under a gable roof with a south-facing Gerschild. It is one of the few buildings of this type in the canton of Bern. On the north and east sides there are arched openings with festooned, partly orange-black painted tuff stone walls . The arch openings are closed with wrought iron grilles.

In essence from the 11th / 12th Century derived Romanesque church buildings from the 13th century in Gothic extended style. The hall church under a gable roof , built in several stages, ends on the east side with a retracted polygonal choir . The church tower, built in 1457 and adorned with heraldic reliefs, was raised by one storey in 1925. Nearby is the parsonage , built in 1727/28 , a baroque plastered building under a bent full hipped roof with portholes .
