List of cultural assets in Hindelbank

The list of cultural assets in Hindelbank contains all objects in the municipality of Hindelbank in the canton of Bern that are subject to the Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict , the Federal Act of June 20, 2014 on the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflicts and the Ordinance of June 29 , 2014 October 2014 on the protection of cultural property in the event of armed conflict .

Objects in category A are fully included in the list, objects in category B are not shown in the municipality, objects in category C are currently missing (as of January 1, 2018). Among other monuments protected objects are found, the "worthy of protection" in the canton of Bern Bauinventar than are listed.

Hindelbank Castle

In the years 1721 to 1725 built castle in baroque style , since 1892 as a women's correctional facility used today as an administrative building of institutions Hindelbank . Extremely stately main building under a high hipped roof with elaborate sandstone elements . Four similarly designed corner pavilions on the south side are connected by two wings and form a courtyard .

From 1515 to 1519 instead of a previous building, a church building in late Gothic style, restored in 1911 after a fire in Gothic style . This hall church is a stately sandstone building under a gable roof with a retracted, three-sided closing choir and a striking front tower with a pointed helmet . The glass painting cycle designed by Ernst Link is particularly worth seeing .

The rectory built in 1817/18 is a stately classical plastered building under a distinctive curved hipped roof . The well-proportioned, two-storey building has strong structures in sandstone and a cornice with multiple profiles. A peristyle with slender wooden columns and a walled arbor on the upper floor characterize the entrance facade.
