This is a list of cities in Myanmar .
By far the largest agglomeration in Myanmar is Yangon with a population of 6,080,235 (as of January 1, 2006). This means that eleven percent of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.
The table shows the cities with more than 50,000 inhabitants, the results of the census of March 31, 1983 and March 29, 2014, and the higher-level administrative unit (state or division) to which the city belongs. The population figures refer to the actual city without the suburbs.
