The Stolpersteine ​​are a project by the artist Gunter Demnig and are intended to remember the fate of the people who were murdered, deported, expelled or driven to suicide in the Third Reich .

On April 4, 2019, the first Stolpersteine ​​were laid on public land in Bad Mergentheim on the initiative of the Stolpersteine ​​Bad Mergentheim eV association. Stolpersteine ​​had already been laid on the grounds of the St. Bernhard School.
