The list of water protection areas in Stuttgart includes water protection areas (WSG) of the Baden-Württemberg state capital Stuttgart . It is sorted according to the official WSG numbers. In the water protection areas , special rules and prohibitions apply to water bodies ( groundwater , surface water) in order to protect the water from contamination. The agency responsible for the water protection areas is the city of Stuttgart.

history
The city of Stuttgart provides information on the development of nitrate concentrations in the individual water protection areas every year and either issues conditions for farmers for the following year or relaxes previous management conditions on the basis of the Protection Area and Compensation Ordinance (SchALVO) of the state of Baden-Württemberg, which has been in force since 1988 . This ordinance was amended on March 1, 2001. In addition to compliance with certain nitrate soil values, which are measured annually from October 15 to November 15, the SchALVO stipulates, among other things, that fertilization and plant protection measures must be carried out in the water protection areas according to good professional practice in order to prevent the groundwater To protect impairment caused by substance inputs from land management.
