The list of water protection areas in the Main-Tauber district includes water protection areas (WSG) in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg . It is sorted according to the official WSG numbers. In the water protection areas , special rules and prohibitions apply to water bodies ( groundwater , surface water) in order to protect the water from contamination. The office responsible for the water protection areas is the District Office of the Main-Tauber district.

This list is part of the higher-level list of water protection areas in Baden-Württemberg and does not claim to be complete.

The oldest water protection area in the district is the WSG Bettingen , established in 1965  , the youngest the WSG Neunkirchen, established in 2007  . The three largest water protection areas in the district are the WSG  Creglingen / Hohenloher water supply group with an area of ​​8,190.48 hectares, the WSG  Grünbach group with an area of ​​6,431.3 hectares and the WSG  Dittwar / Königheim / Gissigheim / Heckfeld / Oberlauda with an area of ​​5,992 , 32 ha. The smallest is the WSG  Neubronn with 9.65 ha.

history

The oldest still existing water protection area in the district is the WSG Bettingen established in 1965, the youngest the WSG Neunkirchen, established in 2007. In the past, individual water protection areas were merged, for example:

  • The Dertingen water protection area (WSG no. 128003) was incorporated into the Dertingen water protection area of ​​the same name (WSG no. 128116) in 2003.
  • The Eiersheim / Uissigheim / Gamburg water protection area (WSG No. 128120) was incorporated into the Pfaffenbrunnen Külsheim water protection area (WSG No. 128139) in 2003.
  • The water protection areas of Werbachhausen (WSG-No. 128011), Wenkheim (WSG-No. 128012) and Stürmershölzlein Werbach (WSG-No. 128088) were merged into the Welzbachtal water protection area (WSG-No. 128131) in 2004.
  • The water protection areas Großrinderfeld (WSG-Nr. 128013), Grünbachgruppe Grünsfeldhausen (WSG-Nr. 128092) and Ilmspan (WSG-Nr. 128219) were added to the water protection area Grünbachgruppe (WSG-Nr. 128141) in 2006.
  • The water protection area Kupprichhausen (WSG-No. 128136) merged into the water protection area Uiffingen (WSG-No. 128135).

Every year in December, the Main-Tauber district provides information on the development of nitrate concentrations in the individual water protection areas and either issues requirements for farmers for the following year or loosens previous management requirements on the basis of the Protected Areas and Compensation Ordinance (SchALVO) of the State of Baden, which has been in force since 1988 -Wuerttemberg. This ordinance was amended on March 1, 2001. In addition to compliance with certain nitrate soil values, which are measured annually from October 15 to November 15, the SchALVO stipulates, among other things, that fertilization and plant protection measures must be carried out in the water protection areas according to good professional practice in order to prevent the groundwater To protect impairment caused by substance inputs from land management.
