Robert Zelčić (born September 21, 1965 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian chess player and coach.

He won the Croatian individual championship three times: 1996, 1998 in Pula and 2003 in Rabac . He played for Croatia at six Chess Olympiads : 1998 and 2002 to 2008 and 2014 . He also took part in the European team championships six times (1997 to 2007). At the FIDE World Chess Championship in Las Vegas in 1999 , he failed in the first round to Alexei Drejew .

In Austria he played for SV Schwarzach im Pongau .

In 1990 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM) and in 1997 the title of Grand Master (GM). He has held the title of FIDE Trainer since 2005.
