Goran Dizdar (born December 4, 1958 in Zagreb ) is a Croatian chess player and coach.

He won the Croatian individual championship in Pula in 1995 . He played for Croatia at five Chess Olympiads : 1992 to 1996 and 2004 to 2006 . He also took part in the European team championships three times (1992, 1997 and 2005) and once in the team world championship (1997). At the FIDE World Chess Championship in Las Vegas in 1999 , he failed in the second round to Sergei Movsesjan .

In Germany he played for SV 03/25 Koblenz and in Austria for SK Absam .

In 1980 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM) and in 1991 the title of Grand Master (GM). He has held the title of FIDE Senior Trainer since 2010.
