The church is a small baroque building with an originally Romanesque nave (walls from the 11th century preserved) and a late Gothic choir. The sacristy is on the ground floor of the south tower, and a chapel with a turret is attached to the south. The groin vault in the nave was built after a fire in the 17th century. There are three altars in the church (high altar marked 1779 ; left side altar from around 1700; right side altar neo-baroque), in the southern chapel annex is a baroque winged altar.

The church is a small late Gothic building (on the site of an older Romanesque church) from the early 16th century, a relief above the west portal is marked 1513 . It has a porch and a six-sided roof turret. The nave is vaulted with star ribs with figuratively decorated keystones, the choir is vaulted with mesh ribs. The furnishings include three neo-Gothic altars.

The small church, which was mentioned in a document as early as the 14th century, has a flat-roofed nave and a polygonal choir with a stitch cap vault. In 1948 a southern sacristy tower was built and the church was extended to the west. The high altar and right side altar date from the second quarter of the 18th century, the left side altar is somewhat older.

The small late Gothic church with a pointed west portal has a tall, narrow nave with a painting of Christophorus on the south side. There are buttresses on the choir, which is the width of a ship. The wall paintings inside date back to the 15th to 17th centuries. The high altar with a large structure is marked 1644 .

The former Romanesque choir tower church (mantle cornice of the Romanesque triumphal arch!) With a mighty five-storey tower was extended by a late Gothic polygonal choir (with buttresses) and a defensive upper storey. The three-aisled, early historical nave received a northern extension around 1980. The altars are from the 19th century; The late Gothic crucifix on the left side altar is remarkable.

The funeral hall was built in 1972/74 according to plans by Clemens Holzmeister . The octagonal building with a roof turret and diagonally positioned anteroom is reminiscent of a Karner. The stained glass is by Giselbert Hoke .

The Große Hildegardstock stands south of the church hill of Stein. The massive, broad-pillar shrine opens to the south from the ground into a broad, flat-arched niche with an altar bar on which the statue of Teresa of Ávila stands. Baroque frescoes from 1717 are placed in three niches above. Are shown Hildegard of stone in the middle, left Ignatius of Loyola and right Franz Xaver . The wayside shrine was restored in 1994 and 1998. The two Jesuit saints testify to the influence of the Jesuits from Eberndorf Monastery on Stein im Jauntal when the wayside shrine was created.

The outer walls of the nave and the round apse look onto a Romanesque castle chapel from the 12th / 13th centuries. Century back and were reinforced in the Gothic period up to 2½ meters thick. The slender late Gothic tower was built at the beginning of the 16th century. In the crypt under the choir and in the nave there are remains of wall paintings from the 13th / 14th centuries. Century. The interior is late baroque and neo-baroque.

The sacristan's house is the last remaining part of the former castle around the Stein church. The castle was a successor to a castle that was destroyed in the 15th century; it was largely removed in 1780.

Note: The custom of Throwing Strietz is performed from the balcony of the sacristan's house around February 5th.

The Drautalbahn station was built on a hillside in 1880. On the valley side, the building is three-story with a gable roof, and two-story on the slope side. The base storey is built in natural stone, the two upper storeys have a plastered facade with corner blocks.
