The Russian ambassador resides on Pere Street at the corner of Carifesta Ave in Georgetown , Guyana .

Since December 17, 1970, the Soviet ambassador in Brasília was also accredited in Georgetown. As the first Soviet ambassador, Wladimir Wladimirowitsch Kotenjow Sr. was accredited on February 19, 1976 in Georgetown.
