history

In 1902, at the time of the envoy Gregoire de Wollant, the embassy was at 4a Calle de Milan No. 40, Cuauhtemoc . From 1930 to 1932 Sergei Michailowitsch Eisenstein , the 1931 Terremoto de Oaxaca en 1931 and 1931/32 ¡Que viva México! and from January 1937 to August 21, 1940 Leon Trotsky .

In 1942 the Soviet Union acquired the Villa los Goméz de Parada in Colonia Condesa . With the end of the Porfiriate, los Goméz de Parada had migrated to Europe and rented the property to the Brazilian state as an embassy from 1931 to 1942. With the operation Envoy the embassy since that is the Central Intelligence Agency the tasks of the Federal Bureau of Investigation has taken in Latin America, accompanied comprehensively.

In July 1955, Legation Secretary Nikolai Leninov helped Che Guevara to get a passage on the Granma . In September 1963, Oleg Maksimowitsch Nechyporenko conducted a visa interview with Lee Harvey Oswald .
