The list of psychiatric clinics in Austria includes a selection of former and current psychiatric specialist clinics in Austria . They are part of the health care system. In Austria, around 20,000 people are placed in involuntary psychiatric accommodation every year .

Psychiatric center in the Penzing Clinic Vienna 1907 Established as the “Lower Austrian State Sanatorium and Care Institution for the Nervous and Mentally Ill Am Steinhof”. After several changes to the name (most recently: "Psychiatric Hospital Baumgartner Höhe"), the facility was merged into the "Social Medical Center Baumgartner Höhe Otto Wagner Hospital and Care Center" created in 2000.
