Live is a live and video album by the Berlin music group Seeed . It was published on 3 November 2006 by the record company Downbeat Records. The DVD has been approved by the FSK without any age restriction.

content

The album includes concert recordings of Seeed's appearances on the Kindl-Bühne Wuhlheide (2004), in the Arena Berlin (2006), at the festival Das Fest in Karlsruhe (2006), in Dresden (2006) and in Oberhausen (2006). The songs played come from the three previously released studio albums by the band New Dubby Conquerors , Music Monks and Next! .

The DVD version also contains ten music videos by the group and other bonus material.

The album was produced by Seeed in collaboration with music producer Olsen Involtini .

The album cover shows the band performing on stage and the audience in the foreground. In the upper part of the picture there is the word Seeed in large, bright orange letters and at the bottom of the picture the title Live is in the same color.

Live entered the German album charts at number 3 on November 17, 2006, and in the following weeks it was ranked 9, 17 and 23. Overall, the record stayed in the top 100 with one interruption for 22 weeks. The album reached position in Austria 4th and 26th in Switzerland.

For more than 200,000 copies sold, the CD version of Live received a platinum record in Germany in 2014 . The DVD version of the album was sold over 75,000 times and was thus awarded triple gold in 2009.

“In front of an insane backdrop of what feels like 100,000 spectators, they literally explode the concert area of ​​'Das Fest' in Karlsruhe, including the hill that belongs to it. A single wall of sweating and raging bodies is seething in front of the stage; the cult festival in the south of Germany is the ideal venue for a combo like Seeeds. [...] The choice of songs is definitely the subject of heated discussions. Personally, I miss a "Papa Noah", whereas the silty "Slow Life" has now even been raised to the rank of a single. It is a shame that "Fire The Hidden" regularly fails in the audience's favor. But even if you don't really like the songs themselves, the performance of them is beyond all doubt. "
