A box by the British band Status Quo was released in October 2010 in the live compilation series Live at the BBC . In the most comprehensive version, the compilation consists of seven CDs and a DVD with previously unreleased songs and rarities.

Emergence

It was compiled from archival material from the British broadcaster BBC . The band's predecessor projects such as “ The Specters ” and “Traffic Jam” have already recorded live recordings that have found their way into Live at the BBC . "The last big package" of unpublished status quo material was prepared and made available to the public. Since various recordings could no longer be found in the archive, fans of the band were also asked to make their recordings of the programs in question available.

On the one hand, it contains live recordings of concerts, including the concert in the Paris Theater from 1973, which can often be found as a bootleg , as well as performances in Wembley, Birmingham and Brighton, and on the other hand, live sessions in the BBC studio and in conversation with the moderators and hosts David Symonds , Dave Lee Travis , Steve Wright or Ken Bruce . In terms of style, the compilation encompasses the band's early psychedelic phase, the rock pounders of the 1970s, and the band's successful hits such as Rockin 'All over the World , You're in the Army Now and Caroline .
