Lo Malinke

Lodovicus "Lo" Malinke (born November 26, 1970 in Kassel ) is a German cabaret artist and screenwriter .

Life

Malinke grew up with his grandmother. He studied English , German and theater studies in Cologne and temporarily financed his living as a geriatric nurse, usher , telephone seller, warehouse clerk and in catering. During his studies he founded the chanson and cabaret trio Malediva together with Philipp "Tetta" Müller in 1997 , to which Florian Ludewig later joined. Malediva had toured Germany, Austria and Switzerland for almost eighteen years before the trio separated in 2014 after Müller was diagnosed with acute depression and manic-depressive illness . A planned comeback in 2017 failed.

From autumn 2006 Malinke worked as a columnist for the gay magazine Du & Ich . Four scripts that he wrote with Müller have been filmed since 2013, including the Christmas comedy Alle unter ein Tanne with Gaby Dohm and Michael Gwisdek .

Malinke and Philipp Müller met each other in 1989 while doing community service . The couple has been a partner since 2001 and initially lived in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg .

In October 2018, Malinke announced via Facebook that he would emigrate to Mallorca with Müller and his dog . The main residence has been there ever since. He now also works as a screenwriter for Barefoot Films , Til Schweiger's film production company . And has been touring Germany again since 2019, but now as a solo cabaret artist.
