Loitsche [ loːtʃə ] is a district of the municipality Loitsche-Heinrichsberg in the Börde district north of Magdeburg .
geography
Loitsche lies on the Ohre and borders in the south on the Elbe meadows of Rogätz . The extensive forest areas of the Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide begin north-west of the village . The village is around 30 kilometers north of the state capital Magdeburg.
history
Loitsche was first mentioned in a document in 1152 in the Hillersleben monastery register of goods .
Ramstedt Castle was built in 1831 for Count Adrian von Zieten and his wife, a née Countess von der Schulenburg. The palace park was laid out according to designs by the well-known garden architect Peter Joseph Lenné . The mausoleum with the coats of arms of Zieten and those of the Schulenburg also dates from this time . From 1857 to 1945, Ramstedt Castle was owned by the von der Schulenburg family and, after the expropriation, served as a home until 1999. The mausoleum serves as a cemetery chapel for the small community.
On January 1, 2010, Loitsche merged with Heinrichsberg to form the new Loitsche-Heinrichsberg community. Ramstedt (incorporated on July 1, 1950) was designated as a district of the municipality of Loitsche . In addition, the Loitsche and Darre stations were named as living spaces in the community.
coat of arms
The coat of arms was approved on November 2, 1999 by the Magdeburg Regional Council.
Blazon : “Divided by gold over red; above two roses with golden wreaths, below a golden rose with red wreaths. "
Loitsche did not have an officially approved coat of arms, but since around 1985 it has had the coat of arms of the von Alvensleben family, who temporarily owned land in Loitsche. The districts Lotsch and Hilligendorf belonged to the high aristocratic Alvenslebischen Amt Rogätz, whereby Ramstedt was owned by the Schulenburg-Alvensleben family. The municipality decided to represent the three places Lotsch, Hilligendorf and Ramstedt, from which the current place Loitsche emerged, with three heraldic roses. Based on the former "Red Mountain" of Loitsche (today covered by a potash heap), about which there are also legends, as well as based on the tinctures previously used in customary law, the coat of arms is in confused colors gold (yellow) and Red kept.
The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg municipal heraldist Jörg Mantzsch .
