Losuwatka ( Ukrainian Лозуватка ; Russian Лозоватка Losowatka ) is a village founded in 1765 in the west of the Ukrainian Oblast Dnipropetrovsk with 6,830 inhabitants (2012).
Although Losuwatka has only village status, it is the most populous place in Kryvyi Rih district , ahead of the two urban-type settlements in the district .
geography
The village in the west of the Rajons has an area of 11.4 km² and lies on the banks of the Inhulez just before it is dammed into the Karachunivka reservoir . The national trunk road N 23 runs along Losuwatka , via which the city center of the district capital Krywyj Rih, 20 km southeast, and the Krywyj Rih airport, 4 km away, can be reached.
Community structure
Losuwatka is the administrative center of the district council of the same name . It borders on the Kirovohrad Oblast to the west . The total area of the district council is 168.2396 km² and the total population is 7531 inhabitants. In addition to Losuwatka, the Landsratsgemeinde also include the following villages:
- Marjaniwka (Ukrainian Мар'янівка , Russian Марьяновка / Marjanowka ); 66.71 hectares , 298 inhabitants
- Novohanniwka (Ukrainian Новоганнівка , Russian Новоанновка / Novoannowka ); 220.87 hectares, 326 inhabitants
- Basarowe (Ukrainian Базарове , Russian Базарово / Basarowo ); 66.73 hectares, 41 inhabitants
- Rajewo-Oleksandriwka (Ukrainian Раєво-Олександрівка , Russian Раево-Александровка / Rajewo-Alexandrowka ); 29.97 hectares, 26 inhabitants.
Population development
In contrast to most other localities in the region, the village has seen demographic development, if only slightly, since the independence of Ukraine.
