Louder ( Engl. For Lauter) is the debut album of American actress and singer Lea Michele . It was released on February 28, 2014 by Columbia Records . Songwriters and producers on the album include Stargate and The Monsters and the Strangerz , who had previously worked with artists such as Demi Lovato and Rihanna .

background

In September 2012, it was announced that Michele had signed a recording deal to release her debut album. Recordings for the album began the following month and were completed in June 2013. In July 2013 her then boyfriend Cory Monteith died (to whom she dedicated the song "If You Say So"). As a result, the release of the album, which was planned towards the end of 2013, was postponed to March 2014.

Notable songwriters on the album include Sia Furler , Christina Perri and Bonnie McKee . In addition, the Academy Award nominated musician Anne Preven was involved in the album. Furler wrote four songs on the album, including the lead single Cannonball and the ballad If You Say So , which she wrote with Michele. Most of the songs on the album fall into the pop and dance pop category. Singers like Lady Gaga , Kelly Clarkson and Katy Perry are among the musical influences on the album.
