Chirico started playing tennis at the age of seven , her preferred surface is the clay court . She mainly plays in tournaments of the ITF Women's Circuit , where she has won four singles and two doubles titles so far.
On the WTA Tour 2015 in Acapulco , Chirico played through the qualification into the main draw, where she was defeated by Mariana Duque Mariño in just three sets. At the BNP Paribas Open she was able to start with a wildcard in the main field, where she lost to Donna Vekić in two sets in the first round . At the Claro Open Colsanitas she was able to compete directly in the main field, but she failed again in round one against the top seeded later semi-finalist Elina Switolina . She also received a wildcard for the main field for the 2015 French Open , where she lost to Ekaterina Makarova in the first round .
