Low is the US rapper Flo Rida's debut single , featured on his debut album Mail on Sunday and on the soundtrack to the 2008 film Step Up to the Streets . T-Pain is a guest artist on this song. The piece was also included in the film Tropic Thunder , Tom Cruise in the role of the production manager of this film (Les Grossman) is dancing to it.

The piece was a worldwide hit and was the longest in 2008 at number 1 on the US singles chart. With over five million units sold digitally, it was awarded platinum five times by the RIAA and is the best-selling song in digital form of the 2000s. Low made it to number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 Decade chart.

The song was presented live with the band Simple Plan in 2008 at the MuchMusic Video Awards. There is a remix version of the song from Radio Disney . This remix version is in DANCE! Included online , a multiplayer music game.

At the Grammy Awards 2009 , the song was nominated for Best Rap / Sung Collaboration , but was defeated by the song American Boy by Estelle and Kanye West .

In 2009 the song was also used in the film parody Dance Flick .

Low can also be heard in the movie Karate Kid .

Commercial win

Low debuted at number 91 on the Billboard Hot 100 on November 6, 2007, and peaked at number 1 in the week of January 5, 2008. The song set a record as the top- selling online song in a week with 467,000 digital units sold. The second best song at this time, Fergalicious by Fergie with Will.i.am only had 295,000 digital units sold in early 2007. Low was # 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks. No song stayed at the top of the US charts longer than Low in 2008 . It was in the top ten for 23 weeks and stayed on the Billboard Hot 100 for a total of 37 weeks.

With 13 weeks at the top of the US digital charts, it was the most successful download hit to date. Low became the digital best-selling single to date, with over five million digital units sold in the US alone.

Low also hit the top of the charts in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Ireland. Low was a number two hit in the UK . It is T-Pains and Flo Rida's most successful song to this day .
