Luchem is a village on the Wehebach and has been part of the Langerwehe municipality in the Düren district since 1972 .

location

Luchem is the northernmost district of Langerwehe, and on its northern edge runs the A4 , under which three bridges run close together: for the main road towards Lucherberg , for the Wehebach and for a parallel Mühlenbach.

history

With Werner von Merödgen, called Luchem, the place was first mentioned in 1373. Until 1972 Luchem belonged to the former Lucherberg office in the Jülich district . During the municipal reorganization, which came into force on January 1, 1972, the A4 was set as the border between Langerwehe and Inden, which is why Luchem was incorporated into Langerwehe.
