Lucie Debay (born March 2, 1985 in Le Mans ) is a French - Belgian actress .

Life

Lucie Debay was born in France as the daughter of a French Zen Buddhist and a Belgian. She spent a long period of childhood with her mother in meditation with Buddhist monks . In between she lived with her father in Togo . During her school days in France she was a good basketball player , but also attended film courses. In 2005 she enrolled at the INSAS art school in Brussels , where she successfully completed a master’s degree by 2009. In addition to many theater engagements in France, the Walloon Region and Norway , she has also been a regular film actress since her feature film debut in Somewhere Between Here and Now in 2009 . She became internationally known in 2014 for the role of Melody in Melodys Baby , for which she won both the Acting Award at the Montreal World Film Festival and the Magritte for Best Young Actress . She was a juror at a short film festival.
