Geilich was born in Glasgow to a German mother and a Scottish father and grew up in Scotland.

Poker career

Geilich first came into contact with poker in a snooker club . He has been playing online since April 2010 under the nicknames ludovi333 ( PokerStars ) , Gr4vyBo4t ( partypoker and William Hill ) and Luckylud148 ( Full Tilt Poker ) . At the end of September 2016 he won a World Championship of Online Poker tournament in the Pot Limit Omaha variant on PokerStars and secured his highest prize money to date of over 460,000 US dollars . In total, Geilich has earned more than three million dollars with online tournament poker. In 2016 it was temporarily among the top 10 of the PocketFives ranking, which lists the most successful online poker tournament players worldwide. It has been sponsored by partypoker since July 2018 .

In mid-June 2013 Geilich won the main event of the Estrellas Poker Tour in Marbella and secured prize money of 130,000 euros thanks to a deal with two other players . At the beginning of October 2013 he reached the final table at the main event of the European Poker Tour (EPT) in London and took fourth place, worth the equivalent of almost $ 315,000. At the end of March 2014, Geilich won an EPT side event in Vienna with a prize of almost 50,000 euros. In mid-June 2015 he was successful for the first time at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and came into the money at a tournament in Pot Limit Omaha . In March 2016, Geilich prevailed at an event at the Wynn Las Vegas and secured the main prize of around $ 150,000.
