Ludwig Born

Ludwig Born (born January 13, 1813 in Langenscheid , † April 15, 1875 there ) was a farmer and member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation .

Life

Ludwig Born was the son of the farmer Johannes Ludwig Born (January 2, 1774 - March 13, 1829) and his wife Marie Elisabeth (October 30, 1770 - June 29, 1829). Ludwig Born, who was of Protestant denomination, married Marie Luise, born Meckel, on December 13, 1835 in Langenscheid (February 25, 1815 - March 27, 1886).

Born was a farmer in Langenscheid and was elected to the Nassau state parliament in 1848, to which he belonged until 1851. In 1850 he was a member of the Confederation of Democratic Societies in Nassau. From 1861 to 1863 he was an elected member for the larger property in the Nassau first chamber (elected from the group of landowners in constituency IV (Nastätten)) and from 1864 to 1866 member of the second chamber for the Nassau district (constituency XII) and the Nassau Progress Party .

From 1867 to 1874 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and in 1867 of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the constituency of Wiesbaden 3 ( St. Goarshausen , Unterwesterwald ) and the National Liberal Party .

As a member of parliament, he was particularly committed to building railways in his home country, to local government and basic rights.

From 1868 to 1873 he was a member of the Nassau Municipal Parliament and from 1871 to 1874 he was a member of the state committee of the Wiesbaden administrative district .
