Ludwig Eisenschmid (also called Ludwig Eisenschmid I to distinguish it) learned the organ building trade from his uncle Roman Beer (born August 9, 1866 in Erling; † July 23, 1929 there ) in Erling. He then worked in various companies at home and abroad. After his years of traveling he passed the master craftsman examination in Munich . He then became an employee of Franz Borgias Maerz and was workshop manager at the end of his work there. After the death of his head of the company, he went into business for himself in 1911 with his brother Hans (*  1850 in Erling; † 1940 in Munich), took over the business from his uncle Roman Beer in Erling and specialized in gaming table construction . From then on, the company acted as a supplier for organ parts.

The company was taken over by Ludwig Eisenschmid II (* November 25, 1900 in Erling; † August 4, 1984 in St. Johann in Tirol ) and is now run by his great-nephew Ludwig Reiser (* 1949 in Biberach an der Riss ). Today, in addition to classic gaming tables, it also produces electronic control elements for organ building.
