Ludwig Friedrich Eichrodt

Ludwig Friedrich Eichrodt (born April 9, 1798 in Karlsruhe ; † December 28, 1844 there ) was a German administrative officer and politician.

Life

Born as the son of Major General Karl Friedrich Eichrodt , Ludwig Friedrich Eichrodt studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1814 he became a member of the Teutonia Heidelberg fraternity and the Corps Suevia Heidelberg . After graduating, he became a legal intern in 1818. In 1824 he received the post of assessor at the board of directors of the Murg and Pfinz district in Durlach and was promoted to the district council the following year. In 1828 he became senior bailiff and board member of the Säckingen district office . In 1831 he moved to the Heidelberg Oberamt as city director and board member .

Eichrodt was appointed ministerial advisor to the Baden Ministry of the Interior in Karlsruhe in 1836 , where he was promoted to chairman council in 1839 and ministerial director in 1842. From November 4, 1844 until his death on December 28, 1844, he was State Councilor and Minister of the Interior in Boeckh's cabinet .

From 1837 to 1838 Eichrodt belonged to the second chamber for the electoral district 7 (Ämter Säckingen, Laufenburg, Schönau) and from 1839 to 1842 as a representative of the University of Heidelberg of the first chamber of the Baden Estates Assembly . In 1838 he was a member of the board of directors of the General Widows and Fire Fund.

The humorous poet and lawyer Ludwig Eichrodt was his son.
