Luis Morao Andreazza

Luis Morao Andreazza OFM (born June 26, 1939 in Treviso ) is an Italian religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Chalatenango .

Life

Luis Morao Andreazza joined the religious order of the Franciscans , made his solemn profession on September 17, 1964 and was ordained a priest on June 29, 1966 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Apostolic Administrator of the Military Ordinary of El Salvador on June 19, 1997 . On November 12, 2003 he was appointed auxiliary bishop in Santa Ana and titular bishop of Tullia . He was ordained episcopate on January 17th of the next year by the Bishop of Santa Ana, Romeo Tovar Astorga, OFM; Co -consecrators were Archbishop Giacinto Berloco , Apostolic Nuncio in El Salvador and Belize , and Fernando Sáenz Lacalle , Archbishop of San Salvador .

On April 21, 2007 he was appointed Bishop of Chalatenango .

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on July 14, 2016.
