action

The three friends Inken, Lena and Lucy are looking for a three-room apartment together in Munich , but only get rejections everywhere. First, Inken and Lucy find accommodation with her old friend Flin, who also has a French friend named Beatrice. The latter is a test of patience , especially for the speech therapy student Inken. The budding dentist Lena is annoyed by her boyfriend Lukas and breaks up with the messy musician when she falls in love with her colleague Johan. Psychology student Lucy meets Sebastian Bernstein, but he pretends to be his friend. She is interested in Sebastian because he can allegedly broker apartments.

Then Inken, who has just lost her contact lenses , gets an apartment from the realtor for 480 euros. However, it is not the large apartment in which it is initially by mistake, but a very small, ugly dwelling. The girls want to move in there anyway. But first they still have to get the necessary money and therefore give themselves up for every silly action.

After moving in, the new neighbor Paul gives a housewarming party and invites the trio. Shortly before the start he calls Inken because he supposedly needs help. But instead he has sex with her, which is so wild that Lena and Lucy can hear it clearly through the walls. During the party, Flin comes by with chili con carne , but is dumped. Sebastian is also at the party and tries to convince Lucy. At the end of the party, Inken learns that Paul is engaged.

At the weekend Lena goes to Lake Starnberg with Johan . There they are initially in the rain, but Johan wants to take a boat out onto the lake. However, he has a problem with the engine. Then a friend of Johan comes along with a woman from the housing agency. Lena hides in the hut with Johan and learns that her new boyfriend is an impostor. The older couple has sex in front of the window while Lena and Johan climb out. Lena goes to Lukas again to finally part with him.

Inken wants to seek consolation from Flin, but catches him having sex with Beatrice. Then she takes revenge on Paul by using loud noises to fake violent sex in the shared apartment. When he shows her bondage photos, she ties him up, but leaves him there. Then she talks to Flin again and rides with him in the dinghy, which goes down due to an accident. On the bank, Inken is upset about the stressful life as an adult. She also accuses Flin of being a wimp. After an argument, they end up having sex.

Lucy sneaks in as a waitress at the celebration of Sebastian's father's 60th birthday. When Sebastian plays a Rachmaninoff concert on the piano for the guests , the dizziness is discovered and Lucy learns of the true identity. After this surprise, she wants to leave the house in frustration, but Sebastian lures her back with good piano music.

After the experience, the three girls enter their new, large apartment, which they can get cheaply because Lena takes advantage of the encounter with the realtor.

reception

Horst Peter Koll writes in a review at Filmdienst that the film "draws on the charm and playfulness of the young protagonists in many details, but in the long run succumbs to an obsessively accumulated tangle of clichés and smear theater effects". Thomas Maiwald sees a missed opportunity at filmhai.de. The film “scores with likeable actresses who lose to the script and direction” because they “try [...] to play something that doesn't suit their type”. The reviewer of RP Online thinks that the “Dreizickenfilm [find] far from always the balance between comedy and clothes”, but “[t] snot some unfortunate gossip, this disillusioning comedy comes across cleverly in places and seems pretty close to the lifestyle of full-fledged girls who get into a row between looking for an apartment, lack of money, lover, hormones and feelings - and somehow manage ”. Carsten Baumgardt from filmstarts.de cannot [deny] the film “Charm, which makes up for some of the many clichés. [...] In addition, the three main characters are well developed and [...] played convincingly, even if not every gag ignites for a long time ”.
