The Müddersheimer Mühle is located on the Neffelbach near Müddersheim in the Düren district .
The grinder from the 17th century was owned by the von Geyr von der Burg Müddersheim family in 1820 and 1830 . Baron von Geyr is still the owner today.
The mill had an overshot water wheel and two grinding stages .
Only the building remains of the original mill. It is used as a residential building.
Monument protection
The mill was entered on February 18, 1988 in the list of architectural monuments in Vettweiß . The entry reads:
"17th Century; 2-storey half-timbered house, eaves in storey construction with large bent struts, 2 entrances; Gable upper floor cantilevered on ceiling joist ends, a lot of original substance, considerably revised in detail. Significant for human history, worth preserving for scientific, especially architectural and local history as well as urban planning reasons. "
