Macchambes Younga-Mouhani , nicknamed "Mac" or "Marc" (born August 1, 1974 in Loubomo ), is a former Congolese football player .
Player career
Younga was born in what was then the People's Republic of the Congo , where she learned to play football on the street. He later became a player for Diables Noirs and made his debut as a Congolese international against Chad at the age of 17 . His national coach at the time - the German Armin Fickert - was also the one who put him in contact with Europe and thus enabled him to work for Schwarz-Weiß Düren . The Younga family is still at home in Düren today.
Younga's career in German professional football began in the 1995/96 season at the Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach . However, he only played two games there and then moved to Fortuna Düsseldorf , where he was relegated from the first division after the first season and was given up to SC Fortuna Köln in the following season after the first half of the season . It was only in Cologne that he became a regular player.
At the beginning of 2001, Younga joined the Wacker Burghausen team and stayed with the club for a total of four years. During this time he became a regular in the club and impressed with his fighting spirit. With Wacker he rose from the Regionalliga Süd to the second Bundesliga .
He then went to Rot-Weiss Essen for two years , where he was initially promoted to the second division, but failed to stay up the league the following year and was relegated again. Nonetheless, his work in Essen made him well known when the TV presenter Stefan Raab invited him to his show TV . The reason for this was a spectacular goal in the 2005/06 season against Chemnitzer FC , when Younga waited behind the goalkeeper to attempt his tee shot, then took the ball from him and shot it straight into the empty goal. The goal was named “goal of the week” by the ARD and thus made it into the selection for goal of the month .
After the relegation of Rot-Weiss Essen, Younga followed his coach Uwe Neuhaus to 1. FC Union Berlin . There he had problems in his first season to play in the team and was temporarily used in the reserve team. In the following season , Younga was able to develop into an integral part of the team and make a major contribution to Union's return to the second division. With Union he held the class in the second division twice in a row. However, he was only a supplementary player in the 2010/11 season. Instead, his foul on Bochum's opponent Matías Concha caused a sensation , in which he suffered a broken tibia and fibula . Younga was then sued by Concha for 200,000 euros in damages, but the Berlin-Tegel district court dismissed the lawsuit in August 2012. At the end of the season, his contract with Union was no longer extended. He then moved back to the Rhineland to FC Wegberg-Beeck in the sixth class Middle Rhine League .
Since February 2014 Younga-Mouhani has been the A-youth trainer of SG GFC Düren 99 .
