Madi ( Nepali माडी ) is a city in the central Terai of Nepal in the Chitwan district .

The city was created at the end of 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees (VDCs) Ayodhyapuri , Bagauda , Gardi and Madi Kalyanpur . It is on the Indian border. Madi is one of the access points of Chitwan National Park to the north .

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Madi had 37,683 inhabitants (16,876 of them male) in 8960 households.
