Chitrawan ( Nepali चित्रवन Chitrawan ) is a city (municipality) in the middle Terai in the Chitwan district ( Nepal ).

Chitrawan is located west of Bharatpur on the left bank of the Narayani .

The city was created in 2014 by merging the Village Development Committees Gunjanagar and Saradanagar . The urban area of ​​Chitrawan covers 36.3 km².

Residents

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Chitrawan had 26,579 inhabitants (12,016 of them male) in 6238 households.
