Narayani ( Nepali नारायणी ) is a city in the central Terai of Nepal in the Chitwan district .
The city was created at the end of 2014 by amalgamating the Village Development Committees (VDCs) Jagatpur , Meghauli , Parbatipur and Sukranagar . The urban area of Narayani covers 72.6 km². Narayani is on the north bank of the Eastern Rapti River . On the opposite bank is the Chitwan National Park . The city has an airfield, Meghauli Airport .

At the 2011 census, the VDCs that made up the city of Narayani had 39,907 inhabitants (18,188 of them male) in 9198 households.
