Magdalene Heuvelmann

Magdalene Heuvelmann (* 1959 in Emmerich ) is a historian , author and mayor of the municipality of Glandorf in the district of Osnabrück .

Life

Magdalene Heuvelmann was born in Emmerich as the fifth of ten children. Her mother was the first woman there on the city council of Emmerich. 1978 Magdalene Heuvelmann made her Abitur at Neusprachliches School House Aspel in Rees , was active in the local parish and in the peace movement . She studied history , education and sociology at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster , at the Université de Pau et des Pays de l'Adour in Pau and at the University of Bielefeld . In 1987 she completed her studies with a Magistra Artium and in 1988 became a research assistant at the University of Münster . In 1989 she became a teacher for youth welfare in Münster and in 1993 a historian for the community of Schöppingen . Magdalene Heuvelmann has been a freelance historian since 1994. In 1999 she did her doctorate at the University of Münster in sociology, with the minor subjects history and pedagogy as a Dr. Phil. In the same year she founded her office for historical services. Tradition has a future .

Magdalene Heuvelmann is involved in the working group for research into Nazi "euthanasia" and forced sterilization for social reappraisal of this part of the National Socialist extermination policy .

In 2014 Magdalene Heuvelmann was elected as the first mayor of the municipality of Glandorf in the district of Osnabrück as an independent candidate.

Magdalene Heuvelmann lives with her son on a former farm in Schwege .
