The Malaysian national futsal team is a representative selection of Malaysian futsal players . The team represents the Malaysian Football Association at international matches.
Performing in tournaments
Malaysia qualified for the 1996 World Cup in Spain, but had no chance in a group with Italy, Uruguay and the United States and was eliminated without winning a point.
Since the first edition, which took place in Malaysia in 1999, one has regularly participated in the Asian Championships. With nine finals participations, however, you never got beyond the preliminary round. At the futsal championships of the ASEAN Football Federation , the team reached second place in 2003, 2005 and 2010, in two other events they took third place in the final ranking.
