Malte Stiel (born July 2, 1990 in Lauffen am Neckar ) is a German volleyball and beach volleyball player .

Career hall

Malte Stiel started playing indoor volleyball at the Hölderlin-Gymnasium in his hometown Lauffen am Neckar in 2001 . He played for TV Lauffen, for TV Hausen and from 2009 for TV Rottenburg II , at times also in the second division . In 2012 the outside attacker returned to TV Hausen, with whom he was promoted to the third division in 2013 . Stiel was also the head of the volleyball department at TV Hausen. In the 2014/15 season he played for the second division TSV Georgii Allianz Stuttgart .

Because of his studies in Zurich , Stiel has been playing in Switzerland since 2015, initially at VBC Einsiedeln . In 2016/17 he played at Volley Amriswil and became Swiss champion, but was rarely used due to injury. In 2017 he returned to VBC Einsiedeln.

Career Beach

In 2003 Malte Stiel started playing beach volleyball. In 2006 he became German U17 champion in Bottrop with Holger Wesselmann . In 2007 he was U19 vice world champion in Mysłowice with Stefan Köhler and German U18 champion in Bostalsee with Christian Geiger . From 2009 to 2012, Armin Dollinger was his standard partner, with whom he came fourth at the U21 World Cup in Blackpool in 2009, fourth at the U23 European Championship in Kos and fifth at the U23 European Championship in Porto in 2011 . Dollinger / Stiel also took part twice in the German Championships in Timmendorf and finished seventh and thirteen. In 2013 and 2014 Malte Stiel played with Philipp Arne Bergmann as standard . With Eric Koreng , Stiel came second at the 2014 Military World Championship in Warendorf . In 2015 he played with Benedikt Doranth and Tim Holler .
