Mana Iwabuchi ( Japanese 岩 渕 真 奈 Iwabuchi Mana ; born March 18, 1993 in Tokyo ) is a Japanese soccer player .

Career

societies

Iwabuchi played as a student from 2005 to 2007 for NTV Menina , the soccer team of the junior school of the first division club NTV Beleza . In 2007, at the age of 14, she received a professional contract with this and played 64 league games in six seasons, scored 30 goals and won the championship three times.

In January 2013 Iwabuchi moved to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim . The striker received a contract with the second division team until June 30, 2014, with a release clause in the event of non-promotion. She crowned her debut in the Bundesliga on September 8, 2013 (1st matchday) with her first goal, the 1-0 winner in the 90th minute against VfL Sindelfingen . For the 2014/15 season she signed Bayern Munich , for whom she made her debut on August 31, 2014 (1st matchday) in a 1-1 draw in the home game against 1. FFC Frankfurt . She scored the first Bundesliga goal for FC Bayern Munich on November 9, 2014 (9th matchday) in a 4-1 win in the away game against FF USV Jena with the goal to make it 1-0 in the 18th minute. In 2015 she became German champions with the Munich women . The contract with FC Bayern Munich was terminated on March 31, 2017 at her request to return to Japan. Since the start of the season on March 26, 2017, she has been active for INAC Kobe Leonessa in the ten clubs Nadeshiko League Division 1 , the top division in Japanese women's football. At the end of the season she finished with her team as runner-up in the championship.

National team

Iwabuchi began her international career in 2008 when she competed with the U-17 national team at the World Cup in New Zealand when she was only 15 . She was awarded the Golden Ball as the best player of the tournament.

In 2010 she took part in the U-20 World Cup in Germany from July 13th to August 1st, played all three group games and eliminated her team from the tournament as third-placed in the preliminary group.

She completed her first international match for the senior national team on February 6, 2010 at the East Asian Cup against the national team of China . She scored her first international goals on February 11, 2010 against the Taiwanese national team when she scored two goals. At the 2011 World Cup in Germany, she played five out of six tournament games. In the final, which her team won 3-1 on penalties , she came on for Karina Maruyama in the 119th minute when the score was 2-2 against the United States .

Iwabuchi was also on the squad for the 2012 Olympic Football Tournament . It was used in the goalless second and third group matches against the national team of Sweden and South Africa and in the final, which was lost 1: 2 against the national team of the United States .

In 2015 she was part of the squad for the World Cup in Canada. She came on for the first time in the last group game against Ecuador and then in all games in the final round. In the quarter-finals against the national team of Australia , she scored the 1-0 winner 15 minutes after being substituted on. In the final it only came into play after it was already 2: 5 and then failed again and again in the last Japanese attack efforts due to the physically superior US defense .

With the national team she took part in the Asian Cup, which was held in Jordan from April 6 to 20, 2018 . She played all five tournament games, including the 1-0 final against the Australian national team. With two goals, she contributed to the defense of her team's title .
