Manfred Lohöfener

Manfred Lohöfener (born February 7, 1956 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German engineer and professor for mechatronic systems .

Life

Manfred Lohöfener was born as the youngest of three siblings in Halle (Saale) and grew up here. His father Wilfried Lohöfener (1918–1995) was a chemist and accountant , his mother Rosemarie Lohöfener , nee. Schuchardt (1919–1998) was a wholesale merchant .

Lohöfener attended the Polytechnic High School (POS) Steintor "Julius Fucik" from 1962 to 1972 . He then completed vocational training as a machine and system fitter with a high school diploma at the pump works in Halle (Saale) until 1975 . After basic military service and working as a pump builder in the company Pumpenwerke Halle, he began his direct studies in 1977 in the field of "Technical Cybernetics and Automation Technology" of the electrical engineering course at the Leipzig University of Technology (TH Leipzig). In 1981 Lohöfener graduated as a qualified engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) For automation technology at the automation systems section (Director: Werner Richter ).

From 1981 to 1984 he completed a research course at the Technical University of Leipzig, Automation Systems Section, Control Engineering Research Area (Head: Herbert Ehrlich ). In 1986 he received his doctorate as a doctoral engineer (Dr.-Ing.) In the field of automation technology on the subject of "Algorithms for self-tuning controllers" at the Technical University of Leipzig, Automation Systems Section (Reviewer: Klaus-Peter Schulze , Technical University Leipzig; Ulrich Korn , TU Magdeburg; Karl Hormann , University of Rostock).

His further professional activity led him from 1984 to 1989 as a software development engineer in the development and construction department of the Polygraph Druckmaschinenwerke Leipzig . From 1989 to 1994 he was head of the software development and automation department in the development and construction department of zirkon Druckmaschinen GmbH Leipzig . He was involved in the planning of the control system for a newly developed, highly automated web-fed offset printing machine (concept and specifications for hardware and software, project planning and programming, series introduction and documentation) with the help of Simatic S5 PLC and Motorola industrial computers. The focus was on control processes, remote adjustment functions and regulations as well as system management with a control station (development of the user interface with graphic screen masks).

From 1995 to 1999 he was a project manager at Dr.-Ing. Reinhard Steinbruch Immobilien Leipzig . His work as a project manager and office manager was aimed at developing and marketing a system of automatic devices for surface treatment in construction. The distribution should be through the company Dr.-Ing. Reinhard Steinbruch Immobilien. Here he worked with the development of innovation promotion concepts and with the tasks of project and office management as well as management. From 1997 to 2002 Lohöfener was managing director of WET Wolfswinkel Ernahmungträgergesellschaft mbH .

From 1999 to 2000 he worked as a development engineer at ESA Elektroschaltanlagenbau Grimma GmbH . He was entrusted with the R&D project management of a new generation of microcontroller-controlled, bus-coupled switchgear and control and signaling panels and was in charge of the research cooperation, the creation of the specification, the hardware design and the software development.

As a project manager in the Pavilion of Hope in Leipzig e. V. he worked from 2000 to 2001. He laid the foundation for a project development that was completed in 2008 with the acquisition and conversion of exhibition hall 14 at the old Leipzig exhibition center as an ecumenical center .

Lohöfener is with the child deacon and diploma social pedagogue (Dipl.-Soz.päd.) Christiane Lohöfener , geb. Philipp (* 1955) married since 1983. You have four adult children who work in technical professions or in medicine.

University professor
