Manfred Schneider , also Man Schneider , (* 1959 in Munich ) is a German sculptor and painter .

From 1990 to 1995 Manfred Schneider studied fine arts at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main with Thomas Bayrle , Martin Kippenberger and Peter Cook , after having already completed a degree in architecture . Manfred Schneider is a master student of Thomas Bayrle.

Manfred Schneider lives and works in Berlin.

Manfred Schneider's works are characterized by media and thematic diversity. Drawing , collage , painting , sculpture and video through to complex room installations are part of his oeuvre . In his work he repeatedly reflects on spatial experiences, his own role as an artist as well as that of art .
