Manon Flier (born February 8, 1984 in Nieuwleusen , today Manon Nummerdor-Flier ) is a Dutch volleyball player .

Career

Flier has played volleyball in her home country since 1999 with the first division club Volco Ommen . In 2001 she came to league competitor VV Pollux Oldenzaal , with whom she became Dutch champion in 2002. Then she moved again within the Dutch league to VC Weert . In 2004 Manon Flier first went to Italy for one season at Sant'Orsola Asystel Novara . She then returned to her home country for three years, where she won championships and cup winners with Martinus Amstelveen in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Then Manon Flier moved back to Italy, this time to Monte Schiavo Jesi , with whom she won the Challenge Cup in 2009 . Then she moved to her former club Asystel Volley Novara and in 2010 to league competitor Scavolini Pesaro . In 2011/12 she played for Toray Arrows in Japan , where she won the national cup and championship double. She then moved to Azerbaijan to Azerrail Baku and a year later to Igtisadchi Baku . In 2014/15 Flier played in China with Fujian Xi Meng Bao.

Manon Flier played 430 times for the Dutch senior team . She took part in five European championships and three world championships . Flier won the 2007 Grand Prix with the Netherlands and was named “Most Valuable Player”. At the EM 2009 she was in the final and was again "most valuable player". At the end of her indoor career, Flier won the silver medal again with the national team at the 2015 European Championships in her own country .

In 2017 Manon Nummerdor-Flier played beach volleyball alongside Marleen van Iersel .

Private

Manon Nummerdor-Flier is married to the Dutch volleyball and beach volleyball player Reinder Nummerdor . The two have had a daughter since 2016.
