Manusae ( Manusea ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Hatulia ( municipality of Ermera ).

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Manusae had an area of ​​21.30 km². Now it is 22.51 km². The Suco is located in the east of the Hatulia administrative office. To the north is the Suco Fatubolo , northwest of the Suco Fatubessi , west of the Suco Ailelo and south of the Sucos Hatolia Vila and Coilate-Letelo . In the east Manusae borders on the administrative office of Ermera with its Suco Poetete . From the east the Lahosa River enters the Suco and cuts it in the middle on its way to the west, changing its name to Eahora . The Bapera rises on the border with Fatubolo . It follows the border to the west and flows into the Eahora at the border with Fatubessi.

Between the Eahora and Bapera rivers, in the northern part of Manusae, lie the villages of Betutu , Ducurai , Otete , Uradu ( Urado ), Bauana , Oeroboti ( Geroboti ), Gaenoa , Lurirema ( Lurirema ) and Hatete . The country road that connects the towns of Ermera and Hatolia Vila runs through the southern part . The places Aibote , Lelemanu ( Letemanu ) and Lebutu are located on it . In the southwest there is also the village of Cuccara ( Cucara ). There are primary schools in Lebutu, the Escola Primaria Urema (Manusae) , and in Bauana.

In the Suco there are the five Aldeias Bauana , Cuccara , Hatete , Lugulaulau and Otete .

Residents

The Suco has 4524 inhabitants (2015), 2301 men and 2223 women. The population density is 200.9 inhabitants / km². There are 713 households in the Suco. More than 64% of the population name Mambai as their mother tongue. Over 34% speak Tetum Prasa and a minority speak Kemak .

politics

In the elections of 2004/2005 was Julito Soares Madeira elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Marcos Soares .
