Fatubolo ( Fatubolu , Fatubalu ) is an East Timorese place and Suco in the administrative office of Hatulia ( municipality of Ermera ).

The Suco has 4,735 inhabitants (2015), of which 2,376 are men and 2,359 women. The population density is 412.4 inhabitants / km². There are 701 households in the Suco. Over 61% of the population state Mambai as their mother tongue. Over 37% speak Tetum Prasa and a small minority speak Atauru .

Before the 2015 territorial reform, Fatubolo had an area of ​​10.41 km². Now there are 11.48 km². The Suco is located in the northeast of the Hatulia administrative office. To the north are the Sucos Lisapat and Mau-Ubo , to the west of the Suco Fatubessi and south of the Suco Manusae . To the east, Fatubolo borders the administrative office of Ermera with its Sucos Poetete and Ponilala . The Manusama River rises in the Suco and flows westward and forms part of the border with Fatubessi. It finally flows into the southern border river, the Bapera . The rivers are part of the Lóis system .

Between Manusama and Bapera, in the southwest of Fatubolo, are the villages of Poerema and Aiprado . In the northeast is the place Fatubolo . The place Aitemua extends over the border into the Suco Lisapat. There is a primary school in Aitemua and Poerema ( Escola Primaria Poerema ) and a medical station in Aiprado.

The four Aldeias Aitemua , Apirado , Fatubolo and Poerema are located in the Suco .

history

During the 1999 riots in Hatulia between January 27 and September the pro-Indonesian militias Darah Merah , Aitarak and Pancasila operated together with the Indonesian military against supporters of East Timor’s independence. Between May 10 and 14, Fatubolo and other sucos were attacked in Hatulia.

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Zino Pereira was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections won Agelino Soares .
