Lisapat ( Lissapat , Lisabat ) is an East Timorese Suco in the administrative office of Hatulia ( municipality of Ermera ).

Before the territorial reform in 2015, Lisapat had an area of ​​7.33 km². Now it is 6.85 km². The Suco is located in the northeast of the Hatulia administrative office. To the west is the Suco Mau-Ubo and south of the Suco Fatubolo . In the east, Lisapat borders on the administrative office of Ermera with its Suco Ponilala and in the north on the administrative office of Liquiçá with its Suco Açumanu belonging to the municipality of Liquiçá . The border with Mau-Ubo is largely formed by the Guotclua and the border with Ponilala flows in the northern part of the Lendeum . Both rivers flow in the north into the Gleno , which flows west along the northern border. The rivers are part of the Lóis system .

In the north are the villages of Naumanaro ( Nounanaro ) and Lauraehou , in the center Gaelema and in the south Hatupae ( Hatupa ) and Tataeulo ( Tataeulu ). Tataeulo is divided into a western and an eastern part. The village of Aitemua extends from Fatubolo into the Suco. The primary school Escola Primaria No. is located in Hatupae . 13 Lissapat .

In the Suco there are the six Aldeias Gaelema , Hatupae , Lauraehou , Naumanaro , Tataeulo and Tidibessi .

Residents

The Suco has 3,676 inhabitants (2015), of which 1,841 are men and 1,835 women. The population density is 536.6 inhabitants / km². There are 560 households in the Suco. Almost 53% of the population name Tetum Prasa as their mother tongue. Over 46% speak Mambai and a small minority speak Tokodede .

history

During the 1999 riots in Hatulia between January 27 and September the pro-Indonesian militias Darah Merah , Aitarak and Pancasila operated together with the Indonesian military against supporters of East Timor’s independence. Between May 10 and 14, Lisapat and other sucos were attacked in Hatulia.

A forest fire on October 2nd and 3rd, 2019 caused great destruction in the Suco.

politics

In the 2004/2005 elections , Damião do Ceu da Cruz was elected Chefe de Suco. In the 2009 elections , Julio do Rosario Lemos won .
