Maragondon (officially: Municipality of Maragondon ; Filipino : Bayan ng Maragondon ) is a Filipino municipality in the province of Cavite . Maragondon is about 54 km southeast of Manila . It has 37,720 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census). There is a campus of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines in the community .
