Noveleta (officially: Municipality of Noveleta ; Filipino : Bayan ng Noveleta ) is a municipality in the Philippines in the northwest of the Cavite Province .
Noveleta is the smallest municipality in the province of Cavite in terms of area, is located 26 kilometers southwest of Manila and borders Cavite City in the north, Kawit in the east, General Trias in the southeast and Rosario in the southwest . Manila Bay is to the west .
Noveleta was a barrio of Kawit until it was founded as an independent municipality on January 5, 1868 .
