Trece Martires City ( Filipino : Lungsod ng Trece Martires ) is a city in the Philippine province of Cavite , and the capital of the province of Cavite. It has 155,713 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census).
The city is named after the Thirteen Martyrs of Cavite , who were executed by the Spanish on September 12, 1896.
